CBend Namibia, Gasifier Photos

The CBEND project in Namibia, Generating power from the Invader Bush.

Invader Bush, is a tall thorny bush that has large spikes that often harm the local wildlife trying to walk through the savannah. CBEND has already been successful at chopping the bush and processing it into a form that the people there can use as fuel in their stoves and ovens. This provides some money to pay for the plant operations and help the cheetah. By adding the gasifier, CBEND also generates electricity, and increases it's capacity to dispose of the chopped up invader bush (which is primarily a woody shrub).

CBEND posted some photos the gasifier and of the processing equipment
