Listeroids
Listeroids

Talking about open top gazzies, here in our region , almond shells are a great fuel. During the war' s time and some time after, they were used both in vehicles and stationary and I still saw a few of them only 25 years ago ( must sound like a fairy tale to some of our youngsters) driving mills and generating electricity with heavy single cil. horizontal sidecams.(Deutz, Junkers,Campbell, ...)I saw these open top units, often with a big trunk or old beam in the centre being burnt down without any problem together with the almond shells around it. I have a few photos of one of the remaining units, a beautiful Campbell.
The Listeroid looks different now, it´ s an old photo.
The Campbell is great, the conservation estate is quite good . That would be a wonderful showpiece.
Of the `Roids I have quite a few. One of them is to work as a 15 kVA h+p gridtie configuration. It will first run on wvo, hopefully later on producer gas.
Other Roids work as off grid devices, some also h+p.
